UCPN (Maoist) chairman Puspa Kamal Dahal said that his party is ready for dialogue if ruling parties Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (UML) are committed for consensus constitution.
Speaking to media in Biratnagar Airport on Friday, February 6, 2015, Dahal said Dahal said the ruling parties NC and UML should create favourable environment to draft statute through consensus.
Dahal said that Questionnaire Preparation Sub-committee is not favourable for the public. "This should be dissolved."
He also expressed sadness over the absence of NC's late leader Grija Prasad Koirala as NC and UML are escaping from the consensus. "If Koirala was alive, there would have been consensus."
Meanwhile, NC and UML have also flexibility to hold the statute drafting process through process if the opposition parties including UCPN (Maoist) withdraws their protests.
