Kathmandu Chitwan Tigers has signed two foreign players – England’s Max Holden and New Zealand’s James Fuller – for the upcoming Everest Premier League (EPL) Cricket Tournament scheduled to be held at TU International Ground, Kirtipur, Kathmandu, around the third week of November.
Max Holden (18), the former England U-19 captain, is a batting all-rounder and James Fuller (28) is a bowling all-rounder. Both the players play from Middlesex in English County Tournaments.
Holden has a best of above 137 strike rate in T20 matches while Fuller who played 44 first class matches, has around 150 strike run rate in T20 matches along with 94 wickets in hand.
"We have taken two talented English players in order to make the team strong”, said the team’s owner Kishore Bhattarai. “This step would help boost the team’s spirit.”
Similarly, the third foreign player will be decided soon, he added.
Chitwan Tigers has signed the national players including Dipendra Singh Airee, Anil Mandal, Dilip Nath, Sandip Sunar, Bhim Sarki, Lalit Singh Bhandari, Kamal Singh Airee, Sahab Alam among others.
