The Social Justice and Human Rights Committee of the Legislature Parliament has directed the concerned authorities to take action over the operators and create a environment to resume the MBBS classes at Janaki Medical College (JMC) in Janakpur on Sunday, July 12, 2015.
The parliamentary committee has directed the Institute of Medicine (IOM) and Nepal Medical Council (NMC) to take initiatives to resolve the problems at the JMC within 10 days.
The MBBS classes at the college have been halted since last 10 months due to the operator's dispute. Around 317 students are studying at the college for MBBS degree.
A five-member committee is also formed to work on the issue of the Janaki Medical College.
