The skippers of the upcoming Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadi Premier League (DPL) T-20 Cricket will get the remuneration of Rs 150,000 each.
Altogether six teams including - CYC Attarya, Biratnagar Kings, Kathmandu Golden, Rupandehi Challengers, Kanchanpur Iconic and Team Chauraha Dhangadi - are in the Far-Western T-20 Cricket fray scheduled for March 18 to April 1 in Dhangadhi.
All the skippers of the six teams will get the remuneration of Rs 150,000 each for the tournament, said the organiser Dhangadi Cricket Academy (DCA) president Subash Shahi.
However, the rest of the players of the League will be paid based on auction. The organisers had also already started the registrations of players for the auction that is slated for this Saturday, January 7.
Organsing a press conference in the capital on Thursday, January 5, 2017, DCA and Sudur Paschimanchal Academy (SPA) unveiled that National Cricket Team skipper Paras Khadka will lead Team Chauraha Dhangadi.
Similarly, National Cricket Team vice-captain Gyanendra Malla is drawn as the captain of Team CYC Attariya while Sharad Vesawkar will represent Biratnagar Kings.
Likewise, national players Shakti Gauchan will represent Rupandehi Challengers, Basanta Regmi Kathmandu Golden and Kanchanpur Iconic will play under the captainship of Binod Bhandari.
The estimated cost for organising the League is Rs 16 million. The winner will bag Rs 1.5 million while runner-up will get Rs 700,000. The organisers have also decided to award Rs 10,000 to the man-of-the-match of each match and a motorcycle to the man-of-the-series.
