Sankata Club has won the title of the 19th Tilottama Gold Cup in Butwal on Saturday, March 4, 2017. This is the third title for Sankata against Nepal Army as it had also dominated Army team in the Chitwan Bikash Running Shield Football Tournament and Ruslan Simara Gold Cup previously.
Nirajan Khadka scored two goals while Rajiv Gurung scored a consolation for Army. Though Nepal Army had led the match in the 30th minute of the match, Khaka equalised the score in the last minute of first half and another match winning in the 85th minute.
With the title, Sankata won the cash prize of Rs 555,555 while runner-up Army has to satisfy for Rs 355,555.
Sankata had registered 2-1 victory over Himalayan Sherpa Club while Army team beat Rupandehi XI in penalties 4-2 in the semi-final matches.
