Sankata Club has entered the final of the 19th Tilottama Gold Cup in Butwal on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
Sankata registered 2-1 victory over Himalayan Sherpa Club in the semi-final match played at ANFA Technical Center, Butwal. Shankata had also played final of 19th Budha Subba Red Bull Gold Cup, last Saturday.
Though Sherpa had led the match in the early 26th minute through Chetan Kumar Tharu, Sankata’s Martins leveled the score in the last minute of the first half.
As the match was heading towards 1-1 draw, Sushil KC score in the injury time help Sankata to enter final. KC was also announced the man of the match.
Sankata will take on the winner of second semis between Nepal Army team and host Rupandehi XI on Thursday.
The winner will get the cash prize of Rs 551,000. The matches are being held at ANFA Technical Center, Butwal.
Participating teams - Rupandehi XI, Armed Police Forced, Sankata Club, Nepal Police Club, Sunsari XI, Himalayan Sherpa Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Jhapa XI, Sikkim United FC and Share FC Kalimpong.
