The world's oldest man, Sakari Momoi, has died at the age of 112 in Japan, according to Japanese media.
Momoi, who was born on February 5, 1903, was certified by the Guinness World Records as oldest living male in 2014.
Momoi who was born the year the Wright brothers made their first flight passed away at a care home in Tokyo on Sunday.
Momoi was not alone oldest living male born on 1903. Yasutaro Koide was also born on the same year, a month later.
Now, the title of the world’s oldest man on Earth will be awarded to Koide who is also from Japan.
The oldest person on earth Susannah Mushatt Jones who lives in New York celebrated her 116th birthday on Monday. She was born on July 6, 1899.
The former title holder of the oldest person was Japanese Misao Okawa, who died in April this year at the age of 117.
