The tournament will feature five games including athletics, volleyball, karate, wishu and taekwondo, said coordination committee’s member-secretary Min Kumar Sharma.
The players will vie for 34 gold medals in athletics, 2 in volleyball, 8 in karate, 6 each in wishu and taekwondo.
Altogether, 360 players from five development regions will compete in the tournament, according to organiser.
The top three teams in athletics and volleyball will get Rs 25,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000, respectively. However, the medals earned in other three games will not be counted for team’s champion.
Similarly, the top three winners (single) of all sports categories will get Rs 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000, respectively.
All the members of the top three teams will also get Rs 1,500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 500.
The total cost for organising the event is Rs 3.3 million, said Sharma.
The matches will be held in two different places – Tripurewhor and Satdobato – as per the nature of the games.
