Police have opened blank fires in order to control the situation after the agitators went violent in Jumla on Sunday, August 16, 2015.
Police fired around 20 rounds of black shots after the protesters tried to vandalised the Distrit Police Office in Khalanga.
The people are on the protests since past eight days demanding an autonomous Karnali state.
The protesters have also used even children half-naked in their parade to fulfill their demands on Saturday.
Meanwhile, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has condemned over the use of children in the protest in Jumla.
The use of children in the different forms of protest is against the children’s rights, says the commission.
