Nepal Police Club (NPC) has lifted the title of the “2nd Ruslan Cup 2073” on Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
Nepal Police beat its departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) by four wickets in the final match held at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Police met the target of 143 runs in 19 overs scoring 148 runs with the loss of six wickets. Army had scored 142 runs losing six wickets after losing the toss.
With the title, the winner bagged Rs 300,000 while runner-up received Rs 200,000 along with trophies.
Army’s Sagar Pun was adjudged the beat batman while Jitendra Mukhiya was the best bowler of the eight-day tournament.
Similarly, Police’s Sunil Dhamala was announced man of the series and Kushal Bhurtel had scored most sixes during the tournament.
A T-20 Knock-Out Tournament was organised by Kathmandu Cricket Training Center.
