Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) will vie for the title of the 1st Prime Minister Cup Cricket Tournament at TU International Cricket Ground on Thursday, June 8, 2017.
The departmental mates will vie for the biggest prize in the history of Nepali Domestic Cricket - Rs 2 million. Both the teams made it through semis dominating Group A contenders – Armed Police Force (APF) and Western Region respectively. Police and Army were in Group B.
Police had reached to the semi-final round after beating APF by 34 runs while Army won over Western Region by four wickets.
APF had entered the semi-final round as Group A winner and Western Region as runner-up while Tribhuvan Army Club and Nepal Police Club made it through semis as Group B winner and runner-up respectively.
Group A - Armed Police Force (APF), Western Region, Central Region, Mid-western Region
Group B - Tribhuvan Army Club, Eastern Region, Far-western Region, Nepal Police Club
The last two semi-finalists will receive Rs 50,000 each.Similarly, the man of the series will be awarded with Rs 100,000 while best batsman and bowler will get Rs 50,000 each. Likewise, the emerging player will get Rs 25,000 while man-of-the-match will be given Rs 5,000 in every match.
