Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) have jointly lifted the title of the 1st Prime Minister Cup Cricket Tournament at TU International Cricket Ground on Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Both the teams were forced to share the title of the first ever Prime Minister Cup Cricket title after the match was abandoned by rain.
The match was abandoned during the second inning when Army was at 7 runs with the loss of a wicket in 2.3 overs. Police was all out in 45.1 overs for 126 runs in the first inning.
With the title, both the teams also shared the cash prize of Rs 1.5 million each. The first prize was set Rs 2 million and the second was Rs 1 million. Similarly, the two semi-finalists Armed Police Force and Western Region received Rs 50,000 each.
Meanwhile, Army’s Sagar Pun won the title of player of the series while Western Region’s Saurav Khanal and Army’s Sushan Bhari announced best batsman and best bowler. Pun got Rs 100,000 while Khanal and Bhari got Rs 50,000 each.
