Nepal Police Club (NPC) Men’s team has secured second win in a row in the 3rd edition of RBB-NVA National Women’s/Men’s Club League Volleyball Tournament at Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall, Tripurewor, on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
Police beat Nepal Army Men’s team by 3-2 with 25-18, 18-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12 to accumulate 4 points from two matches. Police had also shared points after beating Armed Police Force on Tuesday.
However, Nepali Army Men’s team is at the top of the score chart with 7 points after three matches.
In another match, undefeated Help Nepal defeated Butwal’s Manu Mukunda by 25-22, 25-20, 25-17 to collect 6 points in score chart.
Departmental team APF defeated Jawalakhel Voleyaball Training Center 25-17, 25-16, 25-18 in another match of the day. APF has 4 points after two matches. Jawalakhel has registered 3 points in the score chart after defeating Dhorpatan 21-25, 25-16, 27-25, 25-18 in its other match of the day.
Meanwhile, New Diamond Academy thrashed Western Region Tops with 25-23, 25-16, 25-15 in Women’s category. APF, Police and Army have 3 points each.
Nepal Army Women team beat Jawalakhel 25-13, 25-13, 25-10 in another match in women’s category.
Altogether, eight men’s and six women’s team are in the title fray. The final match is scheduled for April 16, 2017.
Men’s Teams - Help Nepal Sports Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Armed Police Force, Western Region Volleyball Association, Dhorpatan Sports Club, Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center and Butwal’s Mani-Mukunda Volleyball Club.
Women’s Teams – New Diamond Academy, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Western Tops and Jawalakhel Sports Club.
The winners of both categories will bag Rs 200,000 and runner-ups will get Rs 100,000 respectively. Similarly, the third and fourth places will take Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
Likewise, the best player of the league will receive Rs 15,000 and best players in different genres will win Rs 5,000 each.
