Nepal U-19 team has lost to Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association XI by two wickets in its first practice match held at Dharamsala Cricket Stadium, Himalchal Pradesh, India on Saturday, January 2, 2016.
Nepali cricket team is in India for practice matches prior to the ICC U-19 World Cup that is scheduled to start from January 22, 2016 in Bangladesh. The match was organised by Himalchal Pradesh Cricket Association.
In a 40 over match, Nepal scored 207 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Raju Rijal scored 66 runs off 84 balls, Rajbir Singh 42 runs off 34 balls, Dipendra Singh Airee 34 runs off 50 balls and Saurabh Khanal scored 27 runs.
In return, Arsalan Khan scored 47 runs, Nitin Sharma 45 runs, Apoorav Malia 35 runs, Arjun Sharma 26 runs and Digbijay Singh 21 runs to chased the target for Himanchal.
Sandeep Lamichhane claimed three wickets while Prem Tamang took two wickets for Nepali side.
