Nepal will take compete in the WAKO Asian Kick-boxing Championship that is scheduled to start from August 1, 2015 in Pune, India.
National Sports Council (NSC) member-secretary Keshav Kumar Bista bade farewell to the 18-mener team amidst a function in Kathmandu, on Thursday, July 30.
The team includes 11 players - Prakash Bista (52 kg), Bil Bahadur Lama (54 kg), Bibek Lama (57 kg), Khagendra Pun Magar (60 kg), Ram Krishna Raut (65 kg), Bibash Dawadi (71 kg), Santosh Khadka (75 kg) and Rudra Limbu (81 kg), and three female players -- Binda Nepali (48 kg), Arati Tamang (51 kg) and Rijan Thapa Magar (45 kg).
Similarly, team coach Deepak Shrestha, official Sailendra Kumar Shrestha, referee Rajan Bhujel, ramesh Nepali, Raju Bjiko, Tej Bahadur Basnet, Krishna Ramjaki and journalist Anil Singh are also with the team.
Previously, Nepal had won two silver and three bronze medals in the World Kick-boxing Championship.
