Nepal Women’s Cricket Team has started preparation for the upcoming Women's Asia Cup from Wednesday, November 10, 2016. The tournament is scheduled to be held in Bangkok, Thailand form November 26 to December 4, 2016.
The 18 players are under closed-camp prior to the Asia Cup. The players include – Rubina Chettri (Captain), Sita Rana Magar, Kajol Shrestha, Sobha Ale, Nary Thapa Magar, Nira Rajopadhaya, Roshani Bohara, Laxmi Chaudhary, Sangeeta Rai, Indu Barma, Jyoti Pandey, Saraswoti Chaudhary, Anuradha Chaudhary, Rashmi Sharma, Nirmala Shahi, Karuna Bhandari and Sarita magar.
Nepal will take on Pakistan on November 26 in the tournament that will be held under T2o format. Similarly, Nepal is scheduled to play against Sri Lanka in November 28, Bangladesh on November 29 and India on December 2.
Nepal had qualified for the tournament by finishing second at the ICC Women’s World Cup Asia Qualifier 2016 held in Hong Kong last month (October).
