Nepal has defeated India’s Rajwada Cricket Team by 83 runs in the second practice match prior to ICC World Cricket League Championship 2017 at the Gautam Buddha University Ground in Greater Noida on Tuesday, February 28, 2017.
Nepal took revenge against Rajwada Cricket in practice match as it had lost to the same team by 47 runs on Sunday. Vice-captain Gyanendra Malla had made a century scoring 104 runs.
In the second match, Nepal restricted Rajwada just to 164 runs against the target of 248 runs. Malla against contributed a half-century with a score of 95 runs off 115 balls while Sunil Dhamala made 44 runs, Mahboob Alam 30 runs, Aarif Seikh 24 runs and Sagar Pun 17 runs.
Nepal played all 50 overs with the loss of seven wickets. Sushil Khatri and Madhur Khatri took two wickets each.
While chasing the target, Rajwada was packed for 164 runs in 37.3 overs as Sompal Kami, Sagar Pun and Sandeep lamichhane claimed two wickets each. Madhur Khatri was the highest scorer for Rajwada with 63 runs while Mohammad Sarif scored 27 runs, Ashok Singh 25 runs, Kapil Yadav 24 runs and Sumit Mathul 21 runs.
Following 19 players are selected for upcoming ICC WCLC match against Kenya on March 11 and 13, 2017. The final squad of 14 players and four reserve players will be announced after India tour.
The players include - Paras Khadka (Captain), Gyanendra Malla (Vice-Captain), Md. Aarif Sheikh, Dilip Nath, Mehboob Alam, Karan KC, Md.
