Nepal has successfully completed Sri Lanka tour with three consecutive victories in practice matches prior to Asia Cup Qualifier 2018 on Sunday, August 26, 2018.
In its final practice match, Nepal easily defeated Colts Cricket Club by five wickets while it had beaten Army Cricket Club by 67 runs in the first practice match and Bloomfield by 176 runs in its second march.
The last match was held at Colts Cricket Club Ground where Nepal easily chased down the target in 42.4 overs coring 218 for the loss of five wickets. Colts had scored 216 runs in 49.5 overs losing all its wickets. Sompal Kami had claimed three wickets while Karan KC and Sagar Pun took two wickets each for winner.
Skipper Paras Khada and Dipendra Singh Airee scored a half-century with 58 runs and 52 runs respectively while Vice-captain Gyanendra Malla contributed 45 runs, Aarif Seikh 23 runs and Subash Khakurel 22 runs.
The national squad had left for Sri Lanka on August 20 and now will leave for Qualifier in Malaysia on Monday. The qualifier is scheduled to kick off from August 27 to September 6, 2018 where Nepal will counter with five teams - Oman in its inaugural match on August 29, UAE on August 30, Malaysia on September 1, Singapore on September 2 and Hong Kong on September 4.
