Nepal has faced second consecutive defeat after 83 runs loss against host Bangladesh in the ACC Emerging Nations Cup held at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground, Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh on Tuesday, March 28, 2017.Nepal had lost to Pakistan by six wickets in its first match held at the same venue on Monday, March 27. With the second loss, Nepal has crashed out of the tournament.
As Nepal opted to field first, Bangladesh posted a target of 258 runs in allotted 50 overs with the loss of nine wickets. Nasir Hossain made a century with 109 runs off 115 balls while Mominul Haque scored 61 runs, Abul Hasan 29 runs, Afif Hossain 14 runs and Mohammad Saifuddin 13 runs.
Avinash Karn claimed three wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets for Nepal. In return, Nepal was restricted just to 174 runs in 42.3 overs. Rahatul Ferdous alone grabbed four wickets while Mohammad Saifuddin three wickets and Abul Hasan two wickets.
Dipendra Sing Airee had scored a half-century with 56 runs while Dilip Nath added 41 runs, Binod Bhandari 33 runs and Arif Sheikh 12 runs.
