Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has unveiled the official draw of 12 teams for the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament 2020 Asian Qualifiers Round 2 at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.
According to AFC, Nepal has been drawn alongside hosts Myanmar, India and Indonesia in Group A for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Round 2 Asian Qualifiers slated to start from April 1 to 9, 2019.
Similarly, Group B teams include – Jordan, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan while Chinese Taipei, Islamic Republic of Iran, Palestine and Philippines are in Group C.
The top teams from each Group will advance to the final round of Qualifiers where they will join Australia, DPR Korea, Korea Republic, China PR and Thailand. These eight teams will be further divided into two groups of four and top two teams from these groups will enter the play-offs.
The two winners from the play-offs will join Asian champions and hosts Japan for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
