Nepal has registered second win in its India tour prior to ICC World Cricket League Championship 2017.
In the third practice match on Thursday, March 2, 2017, Nepal beat India’s Noida Wonders by 40 runs to secure second consecutive victory. It had registered 83 runs win and 47 runs defeat against India’s Rajwada Cricket Team earlier.
All the matches were played at the Gautam Buddha University Ground in Greater Noida.
Nepal scored 248 runs with the loss of five wickets in allotted 50 overs. Sunil Dhamala made a half-century with 74 runs, Ninod Bhandari made 41 runs and Rajesh Pulami 30 runs. Similarly, Md. Aasif Seikh and Sharad Vesawkar scored 22 runs each.
Noida Wonders was all out for 208 runs in 47.2 overs. Priyam Garg scored 44 runs, Shivam Sharma 38 runs, Bobby Yadav 26 runs, Rahul Chopra 22 runs, Harshit Sethi and Ayush Jain 20 runs each.
Sompal Kami claimed three wickets while Shakti Gauchan and Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets each for Nepal.
Following 19 players are selected for upcoming ICC WCLC match against Kenya on March 11 and 13, 2017. The final squad of 14 players and four reserve players will be announced after India tour.
The players include - Paras Khadka (Captain), Gyanendra Malla (Vice-Captain), Md. Aarif Sheikh, Dilip Nath, Mehboob Alam, Karan KC, Md. Aasif Sheikh, Sagar Pun, Bhuwan Karki, Sharad Vesawkar, Shakti Prasad Gauchan, Avinash Karn, Sompal Kami, Sunil Dhamala, Dipendra Singh Airee, Basant Regmi, Rajesh Pulami Magar, Binod Bhandari and Sandeep Lamichhane.
