Nepal has defeated Bangladesh 3-0 to enter the semi-final of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2019 as Group A winner on Saturday, March 16, 2019.
In a match held at Sahid Rangashala, Biratnagar, Sabitra Bhandari and Majali Yonjan scored a goal each while another score was a suicide for the winner team. Host Nepal led the match in an early 6th minute as Bangladesh’s Masura Pravin scored in an own post.
Bhandari made 2-0 in the 23rd minute while Yonjan added another in the 28th minute to wrap-up the match to 3-0. Bangladesh has also entered the semis berth as runner-up as Bhutan lost its both matches.
Similarly, India and Sri Lanka have advanced to the semis round. However, the Group B winner will be determined on Sunday.
Altogether, six teams including - Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan in Group A while India, Maldives and Sri Lanka are in Group B.
