Mahendranagar United has defeated Rupandehi Challengers by a run to enter the Qualifier 2 of the Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL-3) on Thursday, February 21, 2019.
Now, Mahendragar will play against Kathmandu Goldens in the Qualifier at Fapla International Cricket Ground, Dhangadhi, on Friday, February 22, 2019. The winner will make it to the final of the league scheduled for Saturday, February 23, 2019.
In the first inning, Mahendranagar scored 115 runs for the loss of nine wickets in allotted 20 overs. Sarad Vesaukar scored highest 29 runs, Subarmanian Anand 20 runs and Amar Routela 19 runs. Similarly, Aarif Sheikh and Abinash Bohara made 11 runs each.
Lalit Bhandari claimed four wickets while Puneet Mehra grabbed three wickets and Basant Regmi two wickets for Challengers.
Rupandehi Challengers made 114 runs losing nine wickets in 20 voers in the target chase. Babar Hayat and Pradeep Airee scored 28 runs each while Binod Bhandari made 23 runs, Sandeep Sunar 14 runs and Sumit Maharjan 10 runs.
Abinash claimed two wickets while Mohammad Naveed, Sagar Dhakal and Siddhant Lohani took a wicket each for Mahendranagar. Abinash was the player of the match.
CYC Attariya has already advanced to the final of the league after beating Goldens by 41 runs in Qualifier 1 on Wednesday.
