Kathmandu Goldens has registered third straight win after beating CYC Attariya by 11 runs in the fifth day of the ongoing DPL-2 held at Seti Zone Police Cricket Ground in Dhangadhi on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.
KTM Goldens had defeated Team Chauraha Dhangadhi and Rupandehi Challengers in its previous matches. With the win, it is also at the top of the League’s score chart with 6 points.
Similarly, Dhangadhi is in the second with 4 points. It had secured victories against CYC Attariya by three wickets and Mahendranagar United by eight wickets.
Winning the toss, Kathmandu Goldens scored 137 runs losing nine wickets in allotted 20 overs. Skipper Gyanendra Malla made a half-century with 57 runs off 66 balls while Naresh Budayair scored 27 runs and Rashaid Khan 16 runs.
Shuvakar Urao had taken three wickets of KTM Goldens, followed by Krishna Karki and Vipin Chandra claimed two wickets each for Chauraha. Kamal and Dipendra Singh Airee also had taken a wicket each.
Chasing the target of 138 runs, Dhangadhi was restricted to 126 runs. Gaurav Chitrakara scored 36 runs, Bipin Chandra 26 runs, Sandeep Jhora 21 runs and Urao 12 runs. For winner, Subodh Bhati was announced the man of the match as he claimed three wickets while Sunny Patel and Rashaid Khan grabbed two wickets each and Shahab Alam a wicket.
