Dhangadi Team Chauraha has made it to the Eliminator Round after winning over Rupandehi Challengers by six wickets in the 15th match of the ongoing Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadi Premier League (DPL) T-20 Cricket at SSP Ground, Dhangadhi on Monday, April 17, 2017.
Skipper Paras Khadka’s magnificent 42 runs off 21 balls and player of the match Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi’s four wickets claim have helped Dhangadi Chauraha to advance to the Eliminator Round along with Kathmandu Goldens.
Rupandehi had set the target of 92 runs losing six wickets in 20 overs. While chasing the target, Dhangadi met the target with a score of 97 runs for the loss of four wickets in 11 overs.
Rupandehi had to chase down the target with in 14.3 overs to make it to the next round. Khadka scored four boundaries and two sixes while Prithu Baskota made 15 runs including two boundaries and a six. Similarly, Amar Routela and Raju Rijal also contribute 13 runs each.
In the first inning, Prakash KC had scored 49 runs off 34 balls with four boundaries and three sixes for Rupandehi. Despite losing its fifth match of the League, Rupandehi is still at the top of the score chart.
Shakti Gauchan's Rupandhi and Sarad Vesawkar's Biratnagar Kings have made it to the Qualifier 1st as League 1st and league 2nd teams. The matches are scheduled for April 19, 2017.
Meanwhile, Gyanendra Malla’s CYC Attariya and Binod Bhandari’s Kanchanpur ICONIC have crashed out of the DPL T-20 after finishing bottom two at the score chart.
