Kathmandu Goldens has registered second win after defeating Biratnagar Kings by huge 87 runs in the sixth match of the Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadi Premier League (DPL) T-20 Cricket at SSP Ground, Dhangadhi on Wednesday, April 12, 2017.
After winning the toss, Kathmandu Goldens scored 173 runs for the loss of five wickets in allotted 20 overs as player of the match Sumit Maharjan scored 44 runs off 27 balls while Sompal Kami made 39 runs off 20 balls, Basant Regmi 30 runs off 24 balls and Shubhendu Pandey 27 runs off 25 balls.
Skipper Sarad Vesawkar grabbed two wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane and Sushil Kadel took a wicket each for Biratnagar Kings.
Kings made only 87 runs with the consolation of Dipendra Singh Airee 31 runs, Vesawkar 13 runs and Jitendra Mukhiya 11 runs.
Santosh Bhatta claimed three wickets while Bhuvan Karki and Regmi took two wickets. Similarly, Kami and Manjeet Shrestha also contributed a wicket each for winner Kathmandu Goldens.
Kathmandu Goldens had beat Kanchanpur ICONIC by 24 runs in its second match and lost to lost to CYC Attariya by 40 runs in the inaugural match. Similarly, Vesawkar’s Biratnagar Kings defeated Paras Khadka’s Dhangadi Team Chauraha by 23 runs on Tuesday.
With the win, Kathmandu Goldens has accumulated 4 points after three matches while Biratnagar has 2 points after two matches.
