Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held telephonic conversation on the unannounced blockade imposed by India.
During the telephone conversation on Thursday morning, PM Oli has urged his counterpart Modi to ease the supply of goods from the border points, said Oli’s press advisor Pramod Dahal. Oli who is in Jhapa received a call from Modi at around 10.30 am today.
Modi said he is in favour of smooth supply of merchandise. India has not blocked the border points but the problem has boomed form Nepal’s internal issues, he added.
Responding to Modi’s invitation to him for a visit to India, Oli said he would visit India only after the situation improves in the country.
Both the counterparts also exchanged their greetings on the occasion of the New Year 2016.
