The government has announced to build eight more cricket grounds across the country along with prompting the construction works of the international cricket ground at Mulpani, Kathmandu.
Presenting the government’s policies and programmes for the Fiscal Year 2015/16 at Legislature Parliament on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, President Ram Baran Yadav said that the government has aimed at completing the improvement of Kirtipur International Cricket Ground.
Similarly, the government will build a covered hall with the audience capacity of 5,000 keeping a view of 13th SAG.
“One Electorate, One Sports Ground’ program will be continued. The concept of ‘One Sport, One Academy’ will be carried forward. A master-plan for sports will be prepared and implemented."
The government will also increase the number of games in the President Running shield run at school level and more players will be encouraged to participate in the games, said President Yadav.
