The government has banned the construction of new buildings until further new construction policies and regulations.
The meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) Prakash Man Singh on Monday, May 18, 2015, took such decision to restrict the construction of houses following devastating Earthquake.
As per the decision, no one can build a house till the end of the current fiscal year 2015/16 (mid-July).
Following the meeting, the Ministry has also circulated the decision to all the municipalities and districts across the country. It has directed not to issue construction permits for the new buildings.
However, people who have already started the construction are allowed to build the house up to two-story.
