The government has announced public holiday on Friday to grieve the demise of Former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa at the age of 88.
Thapa, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra, passed away while undergoing of treatment at Medanta Hospital in New Delhi, India on Wednesday night, April 15, 2015.
Thapa’s body will be kept at Dasharath Stadium for final tribute from 12 am on Friday.
The final rites of late Thapa will be held at Pashupati Aryaghat with state honour on the same day.
Meanwhile, India’s President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have extended condolence on the death of Thapa.
