Satdobato Youth Club (SYC) and Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) have registered victories in their respective matches of the ongoing Martyr’s Memorial ‘B’ Division League held at ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Lalitpur, on Monday, February 11, 2019.
In the third day matches, Satdobato registered 2-1 victory against Shree Kumari (SKC) while Madhyapur Youth beat Khumaltar Youth Club (KYC) 3-2 in the second match of the day.
Dipesh Gurung and Ranjan Pun had scored for Satdobato. Gurung scored an opening goal in the 21st minute while Pub doubled the tally in the 53rd minute to seal a victory. Subigya Regmi scored a consolation in the injury time for Shree Kumari Club.
The second match between Madhyapur and Khumaltar was interesting and competitive. Though Khumaltar was awarded with a penalty in the final injury time, Rajendra Deula squandered a chance to score and draw the match to 3-3.
Abhay Rana had scored a brace in the 40th and 74th minute for Khumaltar while Madhyapur was leading the match by a goal through Subarna Bikram Karki’s opener in the early 8th minute, Kailash Lamichhane’s score at the last minute of first half and Bibesh Gurung’s match winner in 66th minute.
The winner of the tournament will bag Rs 800,000 while the runner-up will receive Rs 500,000. Similarly, the third place and fourth place will get Rs 300,000 and Rs 200,000, respectively.
The estimated cost for organising the tournament is Rs 15 million. ANFA has also provided Rs 700,000 each as preparation to each club.
Jhamsikhel Youth Club (JYC) and Tushal Youth Club (TYC) had won their respective matches in the inaugural day of the tournament on Friday, February 8, 2019. Likewise, Ranipokhari Corner Team (RCT) and Pulchowk Sports Club (PSC) had won on the second day of the tournament, on Sunday, February 10, 2019.
