Chandra Bahadur Dangi, world shortest man certified by the Guinness World Record, had died at his 75 while he was on tour in American Samoa on Friday, September 4, 2015.
Dangi fell sick when he was on tour in Samoa Inlands, a US territory in South Pacific Ocean. He was admitted to Lyndon B Johson Tropical Medical Center in Pago Pago where he breathed his last around 12 pm NST.
Dangi was recognised the world’s shortest man by the Guinness World Records on February 26, 2012. Dangi was 54.6 cm (21.5 inch) tall -- 0.546 m (1 ft 9 1⁄2 inch).
Similarly, Dangi had also broken the record of Gul Mohammed, the shortest adult human whose height was 0.57 m (1 ft 10 in).
Dangi was born on November 30 November 1939 in a remote village of Dang, Nepal.
