CYC Attariya and Rupandehi Challengers have made flying start after winning their respective matches at the inaugural day of the Sagarmatha Cement Dhangadi Premier League (DPL) T-20 Cricket at SSP Ground, Dhangadhi on Monday, April 10, 2017.
In the inaugural match, CYC Attariya defeated Kathmandu Goldens by 40 runs to register its name in the DPL point table. The winner made total 146 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs.
Yogendra Singh Karki’s half-century with a score of 57 runs along with Gyanendra Kuwar 34 runs, Dilip Nath 15 runs, Pradeep Airee 13 runs and Roshan Nepali 10 runs were counted in 147 runs target. Sompal Kami took two wickets for Kathmandu Goldens.
Kathmandu Goldens was restricted to 106 runs in 18.4 overs with Sompla Kami’s 40 runs and Santosh Bhatta’s 31 runs contribution in vain. Man-of-the-Match Avinash Bohora alone claimed four wickets while Binod Lama grabbed three wickets for CYC Attariya.
In another match of the day, Rupandehi Challengers registered 14 runs win against Kanchanpur ICONIC. Kanchanpur was restricted just to 131 runs against the target of 146 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs as Krishna Karki and Shahab Alam took three wickets each while Shakti Gauchan took two wickets for Rupandehi. Karki was also declared Man-of-the-Match.
Harishankar Shah scored highest 33 runs, Prakash KC 26 runs, Shankar Rana 19 runs, Gauchan 16 runs and Bikram Sob 15 runs for winner Rupandehi Challengers.
Kanchanpur ICONIC’s Kushal Bhurtel four wickets and Avinash Karntwo wickets were wasted after a loss. Sagar Pun 39 runs, Sunil Dhamala 28 runs and Bhurtel 27 runs were also went in vain.
