The government of the People's Republic of China has agreed to provide the financial assistance of 800 million RMB to the government of Nepal.
During the bilateral meeting between Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi on Friday, December 26, 2014, China has agreed such amount of financial assistance.
The two counterparts have also discussed on the issues in enhancing the economic relations and cooperation primarily focusing on facilitating bilateral trade, building necessary infrastructures and enhancing better connectivity, according to the press statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“We have also explored the possible ways of mutual cooperation under the framework of Silk Road Economic Belt to enhance regional connectivity, trade, tourism and other economic activities.” says the Minister Pandey in a statement.
Similarly, both the sides have also agreed to observe the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between our two countries in 2015.
They emphasized the importance of celebrating the special year with various programmes including exchange of visits at high level and enhancing cooperation at government to government and people to people levels in various fields.
