China will provide 1.4 million litres fuel to Nepal in grant to ease the present crisis, said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Kamal Thapa.
Speaking to the media on his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from China, Thapa said the Chinese government will grant 1.4 million litres of fuel worth 10 million RMB.
The Chinese government had also provided 1.3 million litres of petrol to Nepal in October following the unannounced blockade of India.
Thapa said he held meeting with the Chinese counterparts regarding the imports of petroleum products. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) will hold meeting with the Chinese officials on the technical issues, he added.
