The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and Nepal Telecom (NT) have signed the sponsorship agreements for the period of three years.
The agreement was signed between CAN acting president Deepak Koirala and NT managing director Buddhi Prasad Acharya amid a function in Kathmandu on Monday, April 6, 2015.
As per the pact, NT will provide Rs 8.5 million annually to CAN for the National Men’s and Women’s team while it will sponsor Rs 7 million annually to organise the Nepal Telecom T20 Championship. Similarly, the national team (Men and Women) will be the brand ambassador of NT.
Of the total sponsored amount excluding VAT, CAN has to provide at least 25 percent as allowances to the national players.
Nepal Telecom T20 Championship will have the highest cash prize in the Nepali cricket as the winner will bag Rs 1 million while runner-up will get Rs 700,000.
