The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA) have signed an agreement for the 50-over Nepal Earthquake Fundraising Match “BatforNepal”.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between CAN CEO Bhawana Ghimire and MCA president Mahinda Vallipuram amidst a function in Kathmandu on Tuesday, May 26, 2015.
As per the deal, the match is scheduled to be held at Kinrara Oval in Malaysia on August 9, 2015. The charity match will be held for two years.
The main objective of organising the match is to raise fund for the victims of April 25th devastating Earthquake.
The fundraising match will be played between Nepal National Cricket team and the World XI which will comprise several high profile international players both current and retired.
Meanwhile, former Sri Lankan cricket legend Sanath Jayasuriya and roshan Mahanama have also confirmed their participation in the charitable match.
