Nepal has defeated Bangladesh in its third and final practice match after two consecutive defeats held at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan Ground-3, Savar, Dhaka, on Thursday, November 5, 2017.
Nepal U-19 won the match by six wickets in the maximum 50 overs as it chased down the target of 226 runs with the score of 229 runs in 46.3 overs losing four wickets.
Mohamad Asif Sheikh shined at the pitch as he scored highest 90 runs for Nepal, followed by Jitendra Singh 45 runs, Dipendra Singh Airee 27 runs, Rohit Kumar Paudel 25 runs, Anil Kumar Sah 15 runs and Bhim Sharki 13 runs for winner. Sheikh was also declared man of the match.
Similarly, Shahab Alam had claimed three wickets while Sah grabbed two wickets for Nepal.
From the opponent side, Aminul Islam had scored highest 80 runs, Md. Rakib 39 runs, Pinal Ghosh 23 runs, Robiul Haque 21 runs, Afif Hossain 18 runs and Saif Hasan 17 runs after winning the toss.
Nepal U-19 squad played three practice matches on November 2, 4 and 5 as part of preparation for the upcoming ACC U-19 Youth Asia Cup in Malaysia from November 11 to 19, 2017.
Nepal had lost two matches against Bangladesh U-19 – first match by three wickets and second by 123 runs.
