National shuttler from Army Club Ratnajit Tamang has made it to semi-final round of the 13th Nationwide Krishna Mohan Memorial Open Badminton Championship on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
In the match held at APF Badminton Court in Halchowk, Kathmandu, Tamang defeated APF’s Suman Limbu 21-9, 21-16 in Men’s Singles to make it to the next round of the tournament.
Similarly, Nepal Police’s Gautam Kathayet beat its departmental mate Deepak Bohora 21-8, 21-17 and Army’s Nabin Shrestha secured 21-18, 21-14 sets win over APF’s Sunil Joshi to enter the semis round.
In the Women’s Singles, APF’s Sikshya Shrestha won against her mate Sobha Gauchan 21-10, 21-18 while Army’s Anumaya Rai also beat her departmental Sunaina Mukhiya 15-21, 21-18, 21-17 to clinch the next round.
Likewise, Army’s Nangshal Tamang registered 21-23, 21-19, 21-19 victory over her own club’s Jesika Gurung and Megha Chand of APF won 21-23, 21-20, 21-19 sets against Army’s Amita Giri to climb semis berth.
