Nepal Army’s Naba Raj Saud has won the “11th Safal Pokhara International Marathon” held in Pokhara, on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
Saud won the title of the 42.195km Marathon clocking 2 hours, 34 minutes and 24 seconds. With the title, Saud bagged a cash prize of Rs 60,000.
Armymen have dominated the Marathon as Lal Bahadur Thapa (2 hours, 34 minutes and 57 seconds) and Gyan Prasad Bhattarai (2 hours, 36 minutes and 4 seconds) finished second and third positions, respectively. They received Rs 40,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.
Altogether, 170 athlets including a foreigner had competed in the Marathon organised by the Ex-Athlete Forum Nepal.
