Nepal Army Men has set final clash with Nepal Police Club (NPC) in the RBB-NVA National Men’s/Women’s Club League Volleyball Tournament on Sunday, April 16, 2017.
Nepal Army defeated defending champion Help Nepal 3-2 to enter the Men’s final that is scheduled to be held at Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall, Tripurewor for Monday.
Though Army had led the match through 25-23 points in first set, Help Nepal dominated Army in the second set with 25-19. Army managed 25-21 win in the third set to lead the match by 2-1.
The endevours of Help Nepal was once against successful in the fourth set as it registered 25-20 win. Army had to play the fifth decisive set to make it through final berth with 17-15 win.
NPC Women and New Diamond Academy have already entered the final round fo the Women’s tournament on Saturday.
Men’s Teams - Help Nepal Sports Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Armed Police Force, Western Region Volleyball Association, Dhorpatan Sports Club, Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center and Butwal’s Mani-Mukunda Volleyball Club.
Women’s Teams – New Diamond Academy, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Western Tops and Jawalakhel Sports Club.
The winners of both categories will bag Rs 200,000 and runner-ups will get Rs 100,000 respectively. Similarly, the third and fourth places will take Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
Likewise, the best player of the league will receive Rs 15,000 and best players in different genres will win Rs 5,000 each.
Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) is the main sponsor of the tournament. RBB and NVA had signed a sponsorship deal of Rs 2 million on April 2, 2017.
