Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) and Nepal Police Club (NPC) have advanced to the semi-final from Group B of the ongoing 1st Prime Minister Cup Cricket Tournament.
Army and Police will take on each other in the last match of Group B on Sunday, May 28, 2017. The match is also a decider for Group B topper.
Both the teams have qualified for the next round after winning over Eastern Region and Far-Western Region.
In its second match today, Army dominated Far-Western Region by eight wickets at TU International Cricket Ground.
Army packed up Far-West just to 50 runs in 2 overs as Jitendra Mukhiya alone grabbed six wickets while Sagar Pun took three wickets. Mukhiya was also declared the player of the match. Basant Karki was the only double digit scorer for Far-West with 20 runs.
Army easily chased down the target of 51 runs in 6.3 overs. Binod Bhandari contributed 21 runs while Pun and Anil Kumar scored 10 runs each. Army had defeated Eastern Region by nine wickets in the inaugural match of the tournament on Tuesday.
Similarly, Nepal Police beat Far-West by seven wickets on Wednesday and Eastern Region by nine wickets on Thursday.
Eastern Region and Far-West have shared a point each as the match was abandoned due to rain on Friday.
