Nepal’s pro from Nepal Army Ratnajit Tamang has won the title of the Men’s Singles at the 13th Nationwide Krishna Mohan Memorial Open Badminton Championship on Thursday, February 2, 2017.
Ratnajit defeated his departmental mate Nabin Shrestha 21-17, 21-9 to claim the title.
Similarly, Army’s Nangshal Tamang registered 21-17 in both sets against APF’s Sikshya Shrestha to win the title in Women’s Singles.
In Men’s Doubles, Army’s duo Ratnajit and Nabin clinched first place after defeating APF’s Bijit Thapa Magar and Bishal Pradhan with 21-18, 21-14.
With the titles, Ratnajit bagged Rs 60,000 cash prize and Nangshal Rs 50,000 while duo Ratnajit and Nabin received Rs 25,000 each along with trophies.
Meanwhile, Samrakchhak Bhusan Bajracharya and Mayanka Rana won the titles at the 9th Sahabir Memorial Open Lawn Tennis Tournament.
Bajracharya had won the title in Men’s Singles and Rana in Women’s Singles.
APF’s IG Durja Kumar Rai handed over the trophies and prizes to the winners amidst a function at APF’s Headquarter today.
