Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) team has defeated Rupandehi XI in penalty shootout to make it to the final of the 19th Tilottama Gold Cup in Butwal on Thursday, March 2, 2017.In the second semi-final match at ANFA Technical Center, Butwal, Army beat Rupandehi 4-2 in penalties. Sankata had defeated Himalayan Sherpa Club 2-1 on Wednesday.
As per their previous final clash this year, Sankata had dominated Army in Chitwan Bikash Running Shield and Ruslan Simara Gold Cup.
The match was forced for tie-breaker as both the teams failed to score in regular and additional 20 minutes time frame.
Hiranya Magar, Raju Tamang, Bibek Basnet and Dip Lama scored for Army while Saurav Magar and Uttam Gurung netted for Rupandehi.
The winner will get the cash prize of Rs 555,555.
