Armed Police Forced (APF) has clinched the title of the third edition of Didi-Bahini Cup National Women’s Volleyball Championship 2019 on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. APF Women defeated Hongwanji New Diamond Academy 3-1 to win the title for second time.
In the final match held in Kusma Bazar, Parbat, APF registered 25-18, 26-24, 21-25, 25-21 win over its tough competitor New Diamond to defend the title.
The winner APF Women Team has won Rs 200,000 while runner-up New Diamond Academy had to satisfy for Rs 100,000. This is the ninth title for APF in this season.
Similarly, Nepal Police Club (NPC) won the third place after a 3-1 win over Nepal Army. Though Police had lost its first set 22-25, it made a comeback in the remaining sets with 25-18, 31-29, 25-15 for victory. NPC Women got Rs 50,000 cash prize.
Similarly, APF’s Saraswati Chaudhary was adjudged the best player of the tournament. Chaudhary won Rs 10,000.
New Diamond’s Pratibha Mali won the best spike award while Anisha Sunuwar was announced best center, Salina Shrestha best defense, captain Lalita Nath best blocker and Jharana Shrestha best serve. Similarly, APF’s Gyanendra Bista won the best coach. All the winners got Rs 5,000 each.
Radio Didi Bahini of Parbat has organised the third Didi-Bahini Cup Women’s National Volleyball Tournament on the sidelines of 11th Gandaki Province Women’s Festival.
