Armed Police Force (APF) Club has made flying start after defeating Region No. 3 (Kathmandu) by 64 runs in the Senior One-Day National Cricket Tournament held at Engineering Ground, Pulchowk, on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
After winning the toss, APF scored 217 runs losing all its wickets in 47.4 overs. Dipendra Chaudhary scored highest 52 runs while Subash Khakurel scored 25 runs, Sanjay Shrestha 24 runs, Gyanendra Malla 23 runs, Arif Seikh 22 runs and Bhuwan Karki 20 runs.
Ritesh Singh and Ujjwal Thapa had claimed three wickets each for Kathmandu.
In reply, Kathmandu could score only 153 runs with the loss of all wickets in 44.4 overs. Adil Khan scored 38 runs while Bhupendra Thapa Chettri and Sudeep Sharma contributed 25 runs each.
Sanjam Regmi grabbed four wickets for winner. He was also adjudged Player-of-the-Match.
