Armed Police Force (APF) has clinched the title of the National Women's Cricket Championship at Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
The departmental team APF defeated Eastern Region by 10 runs in the final match to lift the title of the tournament.
The tournament was organised with an aim to select players for the ICC Women's World Cup Qualifiers, Asia that is scheduled for October 9 to 15, 2016 at the Tin Kwong Recreation Ground in Hong Kong, according to host National Sports Council (NSC).
Altogether, six teams including – Armed Police Force (APF), Central Development Region, Mid-Western Development Region, Eastern Development Region, Western Development Region and Far-Western Development Region had competed in the tournament.
The winner team bagged Rs 100,000 while runner-up will get Rs 50,000.
The Cricket Coordination Committee under NSC will select 24-best players for the ICC Women's World Cup Qualifiers, Asia.
