All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has decided to award the National U-23 Squad with the cash prize of US$ 100 for their magnificent performance against Japan in the ongoing ASIAD being held in Indonesia.
Speaking at the inaugural day of ANFA Annual General Meeting in Sauraha Chitwan on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, President Karma Tshering Sherpa announced a cash prize of US$ 100 to each player.
Nepal had lost to Japan 1-0 in the match. Despite powerful opponent, Nepal limited Japan to a goal as goalie Kiran Limbu proved to be strong for home side.
Similarly, Sherpa also promised further cash prizes of US$ 100 against the win over Pakistan and US$ 150 against Vietnam.
Nepal is in Group D alongside Japan, Pakistan and Vietnam. Nepal will take on Vietnam U-23 on August 16 and Pakistan U-23 on August 19.
