Nepal has defeated India by 19 runs to create a history in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup held in Malaysia on Sunday, November 12, 2017.
This is the first time Nepal-19 team has beaten Indian team in the age group match. Dipendra Singh Airee gave a marvelous performance in the pitch as he alone made half-century with the score of 88 runs off 101 balls. Jitendra Singh and Bhim Karki were other batmen to make double digit score for winner.
Nepal made 185 runs with the loss of eight wickets in allotted 50 overs match as India chose to field first after winning the toss. Nepal was restricted just to 166 runs in 48.1 overs. Airee also claimed four wickets while Pawan Sarraf and Shahab Alam took two wickets for Nepal.
Nepal will take on host Malaysia in its next match on Tuesday. It had lost to Bangladesh by two wickets in its first match in Duckworth-Lewis Method due to rain.
