The government and transport authorities have decided to open the ticket booking of long-distance busses from this Friday.
As per the decision of the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) and Transport Entrepreneurs the advance ticket booking will commence on September 23, 2016.
The passengers who are opting to travel their native places in the upcoming Dashain can book the tickets from September 23 till October 11, according to DoTM.
The advance bus ticket booking will be available at the various tickets counters at New Bus Park, Kalanki, Koteshwor, Gaushala and Sunndhara in Kathmandu Valley, according to Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Association (FNNTEA).
The advance booking was delayed by around 15 days this year due to the demands of the transport entrepreneurs. The transport entrepreneurs had been demanding to halt the under construction of Narayangadh-Mugling road section, repair Kalanki-Nagdhunga road section and increase the bus fares of super deluxe busses.
The pre-booking of bus ticket was opened after the agreement between the government and the entrepreneurs, said the Federation.
The passengers also can register their complaints at the police if they find any misappropriation in advance booking of tickets, said DoTM. Nepal Police will be deployed in ordinary uniforms.
